LONDON was calling! ✈️

Hello from us “English people”!

We - Anna (4b) & Valentina (4c) - have written a short summary about our experience in London and in foreign host families.

Let's start on Tuesday (April 16th, 2024) when our journey began! We met at the airport in Innsbruck. Many of us had never flown before and were very excited. When we got on the plane it was very exciting because suddenly it was very loud. The flight itself was very nice. After about an hour and a half we arrived in London. Then we took a tour of the city with our suitcases. The best about it was the "Leit-Seeing"! 😁

At 6 p.m we met with the host families. Most of them were really very friendly and nice. The next day we all met again at 8:30 a.m. and then we went to various museums together. We visited the Science Museum, the Natural History Museum and the British Museum. After we'd looked at everything we went for a walk in Oxford and Regent Street. On Thursday we made our way to the Tower of London and walked the Tower Bridge. Afterwards, from 11:45 a.m. to around 1:45 p.m., we visited the London Dungeon. That was very scary but also exciting. After we had recovered from our shock we went shopping in Oxford Street. And after some free time, we all met again to show each other what we'd found in the different stores. On Friday, the penultimate day, we visited the famous Big Ben and Buckingham Palace, where we took lots of pictures. After that, we went for a walk in St. James Park. Then we had lunch and after lunch we did a City Treasure Hunt in the district of Westminster. It was kind of difficult to answer the tricky questions and find out where everything was, but we just went to the residents of London and asked them. That actually went very well!

Then Saturday came - this whole week had just flown by! We left our host families at 8 a.m. Then we started our journey back to Gatwick airport. We arrived back in Innsbruck at 5:25 p.m. We were really looking forward to meeting our families!

Thanks to Ms. Penz, Ms. Mayr, Mr. Geyr and Mr. Beiler for accompanying us on this trip ✈️
