Vienna’s English Theatre: „Rob and the Hoodies“
On the 27th of May 2025, the MS Kematen students had the pleasure of having the chance to watch one of the plays called „Rob and the Hoodies“, presented by the Vienna English Theatre.
Rob and the Hoodies revolves around a student named Robert Loxby who attends school in Nottingham. He plans to act out the famous legend of Robin Hood on stage in the school, though he is plagued by various troubles, including the bullying of a gang who call themselves „The Hoodies“ and his lack of self-confidence. Luckily, he has friends who are willing to help him out, even if their attempts become annoyances. The play goes over topics of friendship, community and the weak standing up to the strong.
The actors really did a great job, bringing the story to life, and giving the characters personality and charm. Some of the students were even able to come up to the stage and act as Robin Hoods friends, the „Merry Men“. After the show, the young actors let the students come backstage, take selfies and speak with them. All in all, the play was enjoyed by the students and teachers.
We give our deepest thanks to the Vienna English Theatre for bringing a great performance to our school!
